Josephine Kenon Barnes, 84, of Quincy, FL transitioned from labor to reward Wednesday, April 17, 2024 in Tallahassee, FL. A native of Quincy, FL, she confessed Christ at an early age and became a member of St. John AME Church, Quincy, FL. Educated in the Gadsden County School System, Josephine graduated from Carter Parramore High School.

Services will be 11am, Saturday, April 27, 2024 at New Direction Christian Center, Quincy, FL, with burial at St. John AME Church Cemetery, Quincy, FL. Visitation will be 3pm – 6pm, Friday, April 26, 2024 at Bradwell Mortuary, Quincy, FL.

She leaves to cherish her memories a devoted husband, Arthur Barnes of Quincy, FL; two sons, Anthony Barnes (Barbara) of Quincy, FL and Anthony Tyrone Barnes (Yolanda) of Tallahassee, FL; a daughter, Rashonda Quarterman of Quincy, FL; four siblings, Richard Kenon (Mary), Andrew Kenon (Geraldine), Lille Thomas (Anderson), and Lear Burns (Ulyssee); four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
